Abstract Microcellular foamed polymers have been widely used in the traffic field. However, it is difficult to successfully manufacture microcellular products that simultaneously possess good cell morphology, small size, high density, and great surface quality. In this paper, polyamide 6 (PA6) injection foams were manufactured via short-shot core-back foaming process investigate effect of on quality Results showed PA6 possessed a smaller higher lower deformation, greater glossiness than foams. The density reached 12.5 × 10 5 cell/cm 3 , which almost 3.5 times when weight reduction was 10%. had with different reduction, whereas dramatically declined an increase reduction. Hence, can be fabricate fine under reduction; beneficial for producing are automobiles, high-speed trains, airplanes reduce energy consumption.
